Marchmont acquires prime 4.2ha industrial site in Hazelmere

23-Jan-2008

Marchmont has acquired a prime 4.2ha parcel of industrial land located on Bushmead Road in Hazelmere, valued in excess of $14m.

The site, which is located approximately 15kms from the Perth CBD, is ideally situated near the Perth Airport, Midland, and the industrial areas of Welshpool, Kewdale and Forrestfield.

The site has excellent transport linkages to Roe Hwy and the Great Eastern Hwy Bypass, and the future realignment of Lloyd Street is immediately adjacent to the property.

The site is vacant and undeveloped and is zoned for industrial development. It is situated directly opposite a 33ha site recently purchased by Macquarie Goodman (formerly the Western Australian Meat Industry Authority land) which is also earmarked for industrial development.

Glen Zampatti, Marchmont Director, believes the site will be a highly desirable industrial option within the marketplace.

‘The close proximity of the site to the Perth CBD, as well as the planned improvements to transport links to the area, will ensure this location will be a highly desirable option for anyone looking to secure a decent parcel of industrial land in today’s highly competitive market,’ he said.

Ben Dudley, Marchmont Director, is currently examining the options for the site. ‘There is a strong appetite for well located industrial land in Perth and Marchmont is talking to a number of interested parties whilst considering the best use for the site,’ said Mr Dudley.

The acquisition of this site in Hazelmere will see Marchmont expand its industrial portfolio, following on from the completion of other successful industrial projects in Kewdale and Welshpool.
